1. Introduction

This Code of Conduct outlines the principles and standards that guide our sourcing practices and ensure alignment with global best practices for social and environmental responsibility.

We believe that ethical business practices, respect for human rights, and environmental stewardship are essential to building a resilient and sustainable supply chain. This Code applies to all suppliers, vendors, contractors, and partners working with WAPS Global.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all entities within WAPS Global’s supply chain, including but not limited to manufacturers, distributors, service providers, and subcontractors. Compliance with this Code is mandatory for all parties conducting business with WAPS Global.

Failure to adhere to the principles outlined in this document may result in corrective actions, termination of contracts, or other measures deemed necessary by WAPS Global.

2. Code of Conduct for Sourcing & Supply Chain Commitments

2.1 Respect the Law

All suppliers must comply with applicable local, national, and international laws, regulations, and industry standards. This includes labor laws, environmental regulations, and trade compliance requirements.

2.2 Responsible Supply Chain Management

Suppliers are expected to implement systems and processes to ensure responsible management of their operations and supply chains. This includes transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in sustainability practices.

3. Labour & Social Policies

3.1 No Child Labour

The use of child labor is strictly prohibited. Suppliers must ensure that all workers are above the legal working age as defined by local laws or international standards, whichever is higher.

3.2 No Forced Labour

Suppliers must not engage in any form of forced, bonded, or involuntary labor. Workers must be free to leave their employment after providing reasonable notice.

3.3 Working Hours

Working hours must comply with local laws and international standards. Suppliers must ensure that workers are not required to work excessive overtime and are provided adequate rest periods.

3.4 Fair Wages

Workers must receive fair wages that meet or exceed legal minimum wage requirements or industry standards. Compensation must be sufficient to meet basic needs and provide discretionary income.

3.5 Non-Discrimination and Equal Remuneration

Suppliers must promote a workplace free from discrimination based on race, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic. Equal remuneration must be provided for work of equal value.

3.6 Freedom of Association

Workers have the right to join or form trade unions and engage in collective bargaining. Suppliers must respect these rights and ensure no retaliation against workers exercising them.

4. Health and Safety

Suppliers must provide a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. This includes:

  • Implementing safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Providing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensuring access to clean water, sanitation, and first aid facilities.
  • Conducting regular risk assessments and training programs to address potential hazards.

5. Environmental

Suppliers must minimize their environmental impact by adopting sustainable practices, including:

  • Reducing greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption.
  • Managing waste responsibly through recycling and proper disposal.
  • Conserving natural resources such as water and raw materials.
  • Avoiding the use of hazardous substances and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Implementing measures to prevent pollution and protect biodiversity.

6. Economic Practices

6.1 No Corruption & Bribery

Suppliers must not engage in any form of corruption, bribery, or unethical business practices. This includes offering, accepting, or facilitating improper payments or gifts to gain business advantages.

6.2 Fair Business Practices

Suppliers must conduct business fairly and transparently. This includes:

  • Competing in an open and honest manner.
  • Avoiding conflicts of interest.
  • Respecting intellectual property rights and confidentiality agreements.
  • Upholding high standards of integrity in all transactions.
